I keep hoping I’ll get a chance to take some pics of the garden to show how pretty all the raised beds look, but I can’t seem to get out there when the light is good. However, I have remembered to go out every day and see if anything is ready to pick, and today, I had quite the haul:
I’ve already eaten about half a dozen cherry tomatoes, so this is really the second bowl of them. Yes, it’s May, and I already have ripe tomatoes. Both the cherry tomatoes and the romas are heavy with fruit.
Green bean score! Last year, I planted a few hills of beans, and didn’t end up with more than a handful all spring. This year, I planted the whole damned package of bean seeds, really close together, so the plants would shade each other. They’re covered with green beans. Next year, I’m building them a bed of their own, so I can plant in waves, and have a nice, long green bean harvest.
Tonight, garlic grean beans for supper!
