Lots of Rain

It’s been raining a lot here for the last couple of weeks, so there hasn’t been a lot of progress in the garden. I have managed to sneak out a couple of times, and add to the rocks and mulch in the front shade bed. I’ve also started to edge it with bricks, and start filling in a large area that will not be planted with decomposed granite. Pics coming soon, if it ever stops raining.

Meanwhile, here’s the big bonus from all the rain:

Here’s the first Roma tomato. There are quite a few flowers on the three Romas now, and they’re about 18 inches tall. They’re really doing well.

Here’s the first cherry tomato. This plant is about 2 feet tall, and quite sturdy.

The six Early Girl tomato plants are not doing so well. They’re undersized, and just not progressing as fast as they should. They’re supposed to produce tomatoes about 50 days from planting. I don’t think they’re going to make it.

Squash to the left, cukes to the right. There were three cukes originally, but one bit it early on. I’m starting to train the remaining two up the trellis, and I noticed this morning that they both have flowers on them.

More coming soon, I hope!
